I'm a San Francisco-based freelance writer fascinated by the history, culture and geography of our world.

As a Ph.D. in Anthropology, I've been trained to observe and tell  unique stories. I'm especially interested in climate change and human impacts on the environment, particularly issues of access to food and water. I am the author of Water[b]logged, a blog about global water security.

I also write extensively on animal behavior and pet lifestyle in my role as a Certified Professional Dog Trainer, owner of Modern Hound Dog Training and instructor at the San Francisco SPCA. I love giving a voice to our best furry friends and improving communication between people and their pets.

Access samples of my work and check out my travels around the world through my Instagram feed below.
